When I saw a Taps Diseños handbag for the first time, the first thing I thought was, 'wow', these are traveling cans with a lot of history.
A handbag can have 1400 can lids, imagine 1400 people who opened a can because they were celebrating a birthday, they were cooling or partying because their football team won. Then Taps Diseños team collects, selects, and cleans them. After that, they are woven by talented Venezuelan artisans. Finally, the Taps Diseños handbags travel to know other borders, this time Samara, Costa Rica; carrying a part of that beautiful country that is Venezuela and its working people. What a wonderful story right? This is why I wanted to collaborate with Taps Diseños. I love how they honor life, especially the life of hundreds of Venezuelan women whose passion and talent are something to admire. The model in this photo is Lenis García, the founder of Taps Diseños. And I am also posing with one of the Taps Diseños handbags. I shot on my Canon 7D Mark ii + my canon 15-135mm lens. Location: Samara, Costa Rica.
