Today I had the most delicious Pumpkin Lasagne ever! It was like a revelation.
About two years ago my boyfriend discovered his biggest passion - cooking!
Since then he has never stopped cooking and impressing me with his gift. He is a truly great cook and he has shown off his culinary abilities once again.
When he told me he was going to cook a pumpkin lasagne, I was skeptical, I had never even heard about such thing. I trusted him and, guess what, it was absolutely the right decision!
Oh my gosh! When I put this creamy roasted pumpkin covered by crunchy lasagne sheets in my mouth and tasted the flavour of nuts with sweet onion and béchamel sauce... It was heaven! You must try this dish! So without further ado, I am going to share the recipe. It was created by one of the best cooks of all time, the Italian Gennaro Contaldo.
You're going to need the following:
- 1kg pumpkin
- 2 red onions
- 250g chestnuts
- 5/6 fresh sage leaves
- béchamel sauce
- 40g pancetta.
- chilly flakes
- 2 garlic gloves
- 40g almonds
- lasagne sheets
- 40g Parmesan
